Painting a better problem
It's important how we frame things. It's also important to have some context about the person you are doing the framing for. Real problems exist. Sometimes it can be hard to articulate problems. It can be even more of a challenge to articulate why the problem is the problem. Here lays the opportunity.
It takes a lot of effort to do a root cause analysis of a problem. Problems can have a differing effect as well. You and I may experience the same problem and walk away with varying levels of discomfort and friction. So it's important to be thorough and capture it all and consider it all.
If the problem is worth solving, it's worth considering every angle until the most full picture has been painted. Only then can the exploratory work of finding answers truly be effective.
